Beverley J. White age 61 of Mayville, died Thursday, November 12, 2009, at home with her family. Funeral services will be Tuesday, November 17, 2009, at 11 A.M. at Pleasant View Free Methodist Church of Mayville, MI. with Pastor Paul Armstrong officiating. Family will receive visitors 3-6 P.M. Sunday, November 15, 2009, 1-8 P.M. Monday, November 16, 2009, at the Avram Funeral Home in Mayville, and at the church 10 A.M. Tuesday, November 17, 2009, until time of the service. Interment will take place at Rich Township Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Family Discretionary Fund. Beverley was born December 27, 1947, to Leland (Doc) and Leora J. (Smith) York in Mayville. She graduated from Mayville High School in 1966, and was a member of the Mayville Community Band. Beverley was a member of Pleasant View Free Methodist Church, past secretary and also taught Sunday School and choir. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, singing, knitting, crocheting, gardening, and vacationing at their cottage up north. Beverley is survived by three sons: Jerry (Jennifer) White, Douglas (Alysia) White, and Paul White, one brother: Richard (Rip) York, and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William in 2007; and sister, Judy Johnson.
