EARL ELROY ZODY "COACH", age 88, passed away peacefully on Monday, Aug. 20, 2007. Preceded in death by his mother, LaVerne Zimmer. Survived by his sons, Gregg L. and daughter-in-law, Bobbi of Stow, Mark E. of Lakewood and Earl E. of Cleveland; four grand-children, Pearl, Jason, Crystal and Kara; three great-grandchildren, Damion, Vincent and Isabella. Honorably served in WWII in the Pacific Theater as an aerial gunner. Mr. Zody served as a member of the 380th Bomb Group, 530 Squadron known as 'The Flying Circus.'
Mr. Zody was known by the thousands of young men who remember him as "Coach" for his active participation in youth and adult baseball which spanned over 50 years.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Earl's memory suggested to a Youth Baseball Organization of one's choice.
