Ila E. Manwell age 82 of Mayville died Thursday, December 6, 2007 at the Lapeer Regional Medical Center in Lapeer, MI. Funeral services will be at 2 P.M. Monday, December 10, 2007 at the Avram Funeral Home in Mayville with Pastor Sam Reece officiating. Interment will take place at the Rich Township Cemetery. Family will receive visitors 2-5 P.M. Sunday, December 9 and 1 P.M until time of the service Monday at the Avram Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Mills Memorial Baptist Church of Mayville, MI. Ila was born November 21, 1925 to Corden and Stella (DuMaw) Harbin in Mayville, MI. and married Howard Manwell in Indiana in 1944. She attended Mills Memorial Baptist Church in Mayville, was a volunteer for the Grayladies of Marlette Hospital for thirty-one years and also a volunteer for the Red Cross. Ila was a home maker who loved making quilts, doll clothes and sewing. She published a book on family genealogy. She also sent many many card and notes of encouragement to friends and loved ones. She is survived by her husband: Howard of Mayville, one daughter Lynda (Dennis) Brostrom of Brookfield, IL, two sisters: Maxine (Allen) Johnson of Warren, PA and Lela Tanner of Clio, MI, five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
