George W. Saylor, 68, who has a number of relatives in the Xenia area, died Tuesday at 3 a.m. at his residence, 116 Siebenthaler Ave., in Dayton, after a two year illness.
He is the brother of Mrs. John Johnson, Van Eaton Rd., near Xenia, and Argus Saylor, who resides on the Dayton Waynesville Rd., between Bellbrook and Centerville.
Mr. Saylor was born in Indiana but had lived 32 years in Dayton where he was employed 21 years at the Fridigaire Division, GMC, before his retirement in 1954.
Survivors also include his widow Ruth E.; a daughter, Mrs. Mildred I. Placke; two sons, George R. and Marvin K. all of Dayton; two other sisters, Mrs. Bessie Leis of Miamisburg and Mrs. Hazel Gunder of Fletcher, and two other brothers, Louis of Dayton and Herman of Lytle.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 2 p.m. at Whitmer Brothers Funeral Home, 239 N. Ludlow St., Dayton, with Rev. Dr. Harvey C. Hahn officiating. Burial will be in Bellbrook Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home today from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.

George was the fourth of eleven children born to John S. and Nettie LeKansas (Kemp) Saylor.
