Donald R. Paige, aged 83, of Grand Rapids, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, March 14, 2014.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Inez Paige; five brothers and sisters; and grandson, Charles Goosen Jr.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Donna; children, Deb Goosen of Rochester, NY, Denise (John) Barron of Byron Center; grandchildren, Faith Goosen, Dan (Mary) Barron, Jessica (Bob) Ondersma; brother and sisters, Mary Lou Backi, Harriet Danowski, Earl (Darlene) Paige Jr., Ila (John) Reeves; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Edward (Joan) Horrigan, Larry (Mary) Horrigan, Joan Horrigan; and many nieces and nephews.

Donald proudly served his country in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict. He worked for General Motors for 37 years. He loved to fish and camp.

The family would like to express a special thanks to Spectrum Rehab and Nursing Center and to Spectrum Hospice for their loving care of Donald. Funeral services will be held on Monday at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park SW, Wyoming. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family at the funeral home on Sunday and also on Monday prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Spectrum Health Hospice.
