Col. Warren was an early settler of Middlebury, VT. He was a furniture maker. He married Jennet Young on December 5, 1803, Rutland, VT. Further research needed on her.

During the War of 1812, he volunteered to go to Plattsburg, NY; September 1814, with a company of volunteers from Cornwall & vicinity.

He died in 1845 while on a visit to his daughter & son-in-law in Rutland. He had several grandsons, in the Ripley family, who served in the Civil War.

"generic" Veteran's marker & flag are at the site.

(Note: some info indicated he was a General in the Revolutionary War, but this is incorrect.)
