Ruth Demicell , 85, passed away Feb. 20, 2011, in Cañon City.
She was born in Hastings, Neb., on April 9, 1925, to Chester and Lena (Fette) Ziegenhain.
Ruth has been a resident of Cañon City since 1957, moving from Chicago. She married Victor Demicell on April 25, 1969; he preceded her in death in 1998.
Ruth loved to cook, and enjoyed gardening. She was an incredible mother. Ruth is survived by her sons, Randy Saviano and Jeff (Jeri) Saviano; and two grandchildren, Steffan and Rachel.
She also was preceded in death by Jim Saviano, whom she married Aug. 7, 1941, in Chicago; and by her sisters, Elvera Belfield and Viola Peckham.
At her request, there will be no services. The family requests memorial donations be made to Skyline Ridge Nursing Home, 515 Fairview Ave., Cañon City, CO 81212.
