Mrs. Marion Humphries
SAUGUS - Mrs. Marion (Pinkham) Humphries, 73, formerly of Myrtle St., died in a local nursing home on Monday.
Born in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late George and Florence (Goodwin) Pinkham, and the stepdaughter of Fred Allen of California.
She attended Saugus schools and graduated from Saugus High. She was the widow of the late Edward Humphries - they were wed in 1940.
Mother of the late Lawrence Humphries.
Mrs. Humphries had worked at the Evans Slipper Co. in Wakefield, and later as the chief clerk in the information office at MIT until her illness.
She was a member of the Tontaquan Chapter, Order of Eastern Star of Saugus. She was a former member of the Cliftondale Methodist Church and was active in the Wesleyan Circle.
Besides her stepfather, she leaves a son, Allen Humphries of Lynn,; two sisters, Mrs. Priscilla Wheeler of Kingston, N. H. and Mrs. Virginia Flaherty of Erie, Erie Co., PA, a brother, Lester Pinkham of San Jose, Santa Clara Co., CA; and 5 grandchildren.
Graveside services held at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, West Peabody. Arrangements by the Parker Memorial, 35 Franklin St., Lynn.
