He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, BPO Elks No. 378, Tall Cedars of Lebanon No. 95, Friendship Lodge No. 84, AF&AM, and the Knights Templar.
Surviving are one son, Glenn E. Funkhouser, New Carrollton; one brother Frederick Funkhouser, Hagerstown, one sister, Mrs. Myrtle Teach, Williamsport; and two grandsons.
Funeral services were held at the Minnich Funeral Home; burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery.
