Melvin White was executed by Lethal Injection at the age of 55 for the kidnapping, rape, and murder of a 9 year old white female from Ozona, Texas which happened on August 4th, 1997. Prior to that he raped his teenaged daughter. His last statement was: "Tell Beth and them I am sorry for the pain that I caused your family, I truly mean that too. She was a friend of mine and I betrayed her trust. I love you all. Tell momma I love her." He then recited the Lords Prayer. Then he said, "All right Warden, let's give them what they want." He then stated, as the drugs started taking effect, "I can taste it."
