Phyllis was born January 30, 1936 in Lyman, Nebraska the daughter of Manuel and Jacklyn (Magana) Martinez. She grew up in the Goshen County area. She met Lawrence Martinez in 1957 and they were married on March 13, 1957. They lived their lives in Torrington. Phyllis enjoyed cooking, shopping, and taking and looking at pictures.
Phyllis is survived by her husband Lawrence of Torrington; daughters Kathy Martinez and Lorraine Herrera both of Torrington; a son Larry Patrick Martinez of Denver, Colorado; a sister Ophelia Dickens of Torrington; six grandchildren; and thirteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers; two sisters; and a grandson.
