Son of William H Burbridge (born April 1818 in MA or CT) and Caroline M Bagley. She died somewhere between the 1880 and 1900 censuses and he died between 1900 and 1910. I have not found their burial locations but they are probably in Quincy somewhere. This Burbridge family originated in Connecticut. William's parents are Lt Charles Burbridge and Rhoda Wolcott, buried in East Hartford, CT. Rhoda's father was a revolutionary war patriot. Charles' father was an Irish immigrant. Family lore is that he was a conscripted British soldier who deserted and joined the America forces.

Charles married Margaret Virginia Hayes on November 5, 1884, in Adams County, IL. They had a number of children including one who was born and died before the 1900 Census (Margaret reported 6 of 7 children living). Several of his children and his widow are buried in Glendale, California. The children, all born in IL and probably Quincy, include (most info from 1900/1910 Censuses in Quincy, IL and then supplemented with other docs and FAG records):

Eugene Leslie born Nov 1, 1885, died Jan 6, 1919 in Idaho Falls of influenza; looks like he majored in electrical engineering at the University of Illinois in 1906-8. Buried in Rose Hill Cemetery in Idaho Falls.

Harvey A born Dec 1888 died between 1900 and 1910 Censuses so probably in Illinois

Lillian born Feb 1892 died between 1900 and 1910 Censuses so probably in Illinois

Asa Charles born Oct 1894, married Daisy Linger from West Virginia in Bonneville, ID on June 30, 1925. They had daughter Joan V age 10 in the 1940 Census in Los Angeles; died Aug 22, 1976

Cora C born Aug 1896, married Frank Arthur Jensen in Bonneville County, ID on Feb 13, 1921.

Jessie V born Aug 10, 1899, married Louis August Schwabedissen on Sep 5, 1920 in Bonneville County, ID and died Oct 18, 1946 in Idaho Falls, ID. She had children James L and Richard in the 1940 Census. Buried in Rose Hill Cemetery in Idaho Falls.

Cornelia Helen born Oct 9, 1902 married Sidney Griffes; died Oct 30, 1993 and is buried in CA with brother Asa and her mother.

Cornelia first appears in the 1910 Census. In that Census, Margaret indicates she had 8 children of which 5 are living, hence I have determined that Harvey and Lillian must have died between the 1900 and 1910 censuses.

There is some confusion as Charles' date of death is 1924 on the below record, he is reflected as a widower on the death record and yet his wife is living in California as a widow in the 1920 Census and he is not found in the 1920 Census. This needs to be resolved but may indicate a separation of the family. It is possible Charles remarried but Margaret never did so wasn't technically a widow in 1920. She lived to 1951 according to FAG.
