Margie Boxler, 88 of Sterling, passed away Tues., March 18, 2014 in Sterling. Margie was born on Jan. 15, 1926 in Sterling, CO to John and Sophie Bredeker Merkel.

Visitation Sun. March 23, 2014 from 2pm until 6pm with rosary and vigil service to follow at 6pm at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial 10am Mon. March 24, 2014 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, interment Sunset Memorial Gardens.

She married John Edward Boxler on June 5, 1979 in Fort Morgan, CO.

Margie was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church and the V.F.W. Aux. She enjoyed crocheting, playing bingo and cards.

She is survived by daughter JoAnn Schomerus and husband Doug of Castle Pines, CO and sons Richard Volz and wife Gayle of Fort Morgan, and Jim Volz and Linda of Sterling, CO; niece Josie Jacobs of Brighton, CO; grandchildren Brent Schomerus and Ali Schomerus, Dan Volz and wife Denise, Robyn Vaas and husband David, Shannon Volz, Chantel Brown and husband Andy, Tyler Volz and Cheyanne and Kaylee Taylor and husband Kyle, eight great grandchildren

She was preceded in death by parents, husband John Boxler in 1993, sister Susie Lauer, brothers John, Vern"Fat", Gottlieb, Alex, Ralph and George.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Walk at Devonshire.
