Audie Gene Baker, of Clifton, passed away on March 18, 2014, in Dallas. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 22, 2014, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Whitney with Rev. Wayne West officiating.
Audie was born on March 8, 1957, in Fort Worth to Benny Gene and Paul Jean (Benefield) Baker. On January 24, 1994, he married Sheila Kay Easton in Waldron, Arkansas. An avid outdoors man, he loved hunting and fishing. As a musician, he enjoyed country muisc and he played the guitar in several bands; the last band was Rough Country. Wood working and building were also pastimes he enjoyed as well as raising birds, especially pheasants and silver duck wings.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Paula Jean Baker and brother, Michael Don Baker.
He is survived by his wife, Sheila Baker; father and step-mother, Benny Baker and wife Mary; children, Charity Baker and spouse Melissa Stalder, Crystal Benoit and husband, Matthew, Charissa Moncrief and husband, Dennis Raynes, Michael Baker, Brooklyn Baker, Grayson Lough and wife Sunshine; brothers Guy Bair, Shay Baker and wife Samantha; sisters, Tianey McDaniel and spouse Juan Ramirez and Toi Hill and husband Steve; grandchildren Brittany Paine, Austin Moncrief, Brianna Benoit, Zandon Baker, Caleb Benoit, Caden Benoit, Jaidyn Raynes and Yasmine Raynes; several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
