He was the son of George and Emma (Bosch) Bice. On Jun 23, 1960, he married Judith L. Lakin, who survives in Lima.
Also surviving are two sons: Blain (Suzanne), Hendersonville, NC, and Kent (Elizabeth), Lima; two daughters: Kendra (Terry) Vaughn, Monroe, TN, and Tiffany (Scott) Kost, Memphis, TN; seven grandchildren: Lynn, Kyle, Courtney, Allen, Tyler, Lauren, and Maggie; two step-grandchildren: Zach and Ashley; two great-grandchildren: Carson and Trevor; two brothers: Donald (Betty), Bowling Green, KY, and Robert (Shirley), Lima; and a sister, Sally Stoddard, VA.
Deceased is a sister, Patricia LaRue.
A 1955 graduate of Shawnee High School, he proudly served our country in the United States Air Force, until being honorably discharged in 1959. He retired as a manager of customer service with the United States Postal Service after 35 years of service. He was a member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, spending time with his grandchildren, and the companionship of his dogs. He loved cheering on the Cleveland Indians, Cavaliers, and Browns, and The Ohio State Buckeyes. He and his family enjoyed spending time at their home on Dale Hollow Lake, TN, and spending time with their friends there. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and frugality.
Services will be at Chiles-Laman Funeral and Cremation Services, Shawnee Chapel, with Pastor Tom Dearth officiating.
