WM. NEWTON ARMSTRONG passed away Wednesday, October 31, at 5:30 p. m. at his home, Saltsburg, R. D. l, near West Lebanon, where he had lived for the past 65 years as a farmer.
Son of David Johnson and Julia Ann Frailey Armstrong he was born December 21, 1864, in Elderton, where he spent his early life.
The deceased was the husband of the late Serena Jane Armstrong, and is survived by one son, John A. Armstrong, of Niles, O., and two daughters, Mrs. Annie Slosser of West Lebanon, and Elizabeth Armstrong at home; also by six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchild and three sisters: Mrs. Cora Jellison, New Alexandria; Mrs. Mary Daugherty, Blairsville, and Maude Kridler, Aultman.
Friends will be received at Robinson's, 36 North 7th street, Indiana, from 7 to 9 p. m. today and on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., where services will be conducted Saturday, Nov. 3, at 11:00 a. m. Rev. Harold C. Giffen officiate. Interment will be in Oakland Cemetery.
