She was born in Franklin County on July 27, 1942, to Willie Jesse and Rebecca Eva Whitehead. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Lou Hall; and two brothers, Larry Whitehead and Jesse Whitehead.
Mrs. Blaisdell is survived by her husband, Henry Buford Blaisdell, and their four daughters: Jeannie Blaisdell of Martinsville and dear friend Richard Leadbetter, Teresa Rowley of Montclair Va., Deborah Blaisdell of Martinsville, and Jacqueline Rogers and husband Mike of Collinsville.
She is also survived by her six grandchildren Brad Rogers, Christie Rogers, Jason Rowley, Andrea Rowley, Johnny Quesinberry Jr. and wife, Jiessenia, Derrick Quesinberry; and one great-grandson, John Nicholas Quesinberry.
Mrs. Blaisdell worked for 36 years at the Kennedy House and Blue Ridge Nursing Home. She worked very hard to support her family which she was very proud of. She was a very sweet and humble lady who never had anything but kind words to say about others.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, March 21, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Roselawn Burial Park with Celebrant Kelly Ratcliff officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
