GOSHEN — Don R. Adams, 92, of Goshen, passed away Wednesday, March 19, at East Lake Nursing and Rehabilitation in Elkhart.

He was born Feb. 19, 1922, in Middlebury to Horace S. and Grace L. (Blood) Adams.

Don married the late Delores L. Adams on Dec. 12, 1942, in LaGrange.

Survivors include four sons, Dennis (Debbie) Adams of Grandbury, Texas, Marvin (Tina) Adams of Plymouth, Keith (Cathy) Adams of Goshen and Earl Adams of Georgia; two daughters, Cheryl (David) Ford of Salem, Va., and Marsha Evans of Goshen; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Dan and J.D. Adams, and a half-sister, Violet Replogle.

Don served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater. He was later employed with Studebaker for 11 years and following that worked for several plumbing, heating and air contractors. Don later owned and operated his own plumbing, heating and air contracting company, D.R. Adams Inc., for several years prior to his retirement in 1987. Following retirement, Don continued to work as an Elkhart County plumbing and heating inspector for a number of years.

He was a member of Bristol United Methodist Church and American Legion Post 30 in Goshen.
