Glenn or "Poppie" as he was known by his grandchildren, or "Mutt" as he was called by his brothers and sisters, most enjoyed spending time with his family. He loved playing the guitar and singing for the senior's group and water skiing. He worked for Orkin Pest Control for over 20 years before his retirement in 1980. He won two state championships in basketball at Jonesboro High School. He will be remembered as a loving, caring and talented man who will be missed by all who knew him.
Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, daughter patsy Lou, grandson Nathan, nine brothers and two sisters.
He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years Lou of Mabank, son don Tubbs and wife Linda of Venus, daughter Kathy Turner of Mabank, brother Raymond Tubbs of Austin, sister Bethel Kelly of Trinidad, four grandsons; Jake, Jeremy, Clifford and Ray, six great-grandsons; Trevor, Trenton, Eli, Nathaniel, Seth and Caleb, nephew Robert Tubbs and wife Wanda of Crosby, special friend Becky Crocker of Mabank, many other loving family members and countless friends
