Catherine Hill McIlvoy, age 82, formerly of Burgin and Lebanon, passed away Thursday, March 20, 2014 at Springfield Nursing and Rehab Center.

She was born April 5, 1931 in Washington County. She was a former member of Saint Andrew Catholic Church in Harrodsburg and Saint Charles Catholic Church in Saint Mary's.

She was preceded in death by her first Husband, James Philip "Phil" Hill, three sisters, Beaulah Smith, Ann Tingle and Mary Alice Carrico and three brothers, Robert, Reuben and Paul Carrico.

Survivors include her husband, Virgil McIlvoy of Burgin, four daughters, Phyllis Brown (Ritchey) of Harrodsburg, Donna Peterson (Jerry) of Loretto, Carolyn O'Daniel (Doug) of Lebanon and Laura Lair (Brian) of Mooreland, one son, James Philip Hill, II (Paula) of De Forest, Wisconsin, 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM Monday, March 24, 2014 at Saint Charles Catholic Church, 675 Highway 327, Lebanon, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. James W. Graf will be the celebrant.

Visitation is 3-8 PM Sunday at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto, with a prayer service at 7 PM by Rev. Deacon Joseph R. Dant.

Pallbearers are Ritchie Brown, Jerry Peterson, Doug O'Daniel, Brian Lair, Linton Brown, Corey O'Daniel, Brandon O'Daniel and Jordon O'Daniel.
