Margaret and Paul had one son which they named Paul B. Headdy.
Margaret Headdy served many years as secretary to Paul V. McNutt while he was the 34th Governor of Indiana (1933-1937). Afterwards, Governor McNutt took on the Diplomatic Post of "High Commissioner of the Philippines" from 1937 to 1939. Margaret and her husband, Paul Headdy, moved to the Philippines with Governor/Commissioner McNutt and Margaret continued with secretary duties to Gov. McNutt. They returned to Indiana where Paul B. Headdy later became a Psychology Professor and then Admissions Director at Rose Hulman Technology Institute.
