Marjorie A. Woodard, 91, of Four Oaks, North Carolina and formerly of Mt. Vernon, Illinois passed away at 3:15 P.M. on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at Johnston Health in Smithfield, North Carolina.
Marjorie was born on Thursday, October 19, 1922 in Cravat, Illinois the daughter of the late Edward R. and Rosa M. (Barber) Blessin. She married Roy R. Woodard and he preceded her in death on October 24, 1989.
Surviving family members include her son: John E. Woodard and wife Penny of Benson, North Carolina; 8 grandchildren: Debbie Cooper, Kim Etzell, Donnie Harlow, Greg Harlow, Tracy Breyer, Erika Woodard, Mindy Hubbuch and husband Chris and Christopher DiMatteo; 9 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Her parents, husband, one daughter: Judith May Harlow, one grandchild, one great grandchild, three brothers: Edward M. Blessin, Louis Blessin and Charles Blessin, one sister: Anna Mae Modert, and four sisters-in-law: Dorothy Blessin, Kay Blessin, Irene Blessin and Maureen Marlow preceded her in death.
Marjorie worked as an office secretary and a homemaker and was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church in Mt. Vernon, Illinois.
