"Alfred Stuart Myers of 28 Gates Ave., teacher, editor and author, died suddenly of a heart attack after a brief illness on Sunday, He was 70 years old. A resident of Montclair and Upper Montclair for 39 years, Mr. Myers was born in Owasco, N.Y., the son of the Rev. Alfred Edward Myers and Mary Moffatt Myers. He lived in New York City until his marriage. He was a graduate of Collegiate School, New York, received his bachelor of arts degree from Columbia University where he was in the class of 1906 and his masters degree from Columbia in English... Surviving Mr. Myers are his wife, Mrs. Hope Reynolds Myers..."
