Born March 8, 1927 in Anson County, he was a son of the late Allison and Julia Preslar German.
He was also preceded in death by a son, Jerry Cleveland Diggs, brother, A.D. German, Jr., sisters, Ila Mae High and Otivette Ross.
Funeral service will be held on Monday at 2 PM at chapel of Morgan & Son Funeral Home with burial to follow in the German Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Sunday from 3-5 PM at the funeral home.
Mr. German is survived by his wife Frances Adams German; daughter, Janet Diggs Horne and husband Charles of Peachland; daughter–in-law, Mary Diggs; five grandchildren, Michael (Marie) High of Peachland, Stephen Brian High of Goldsboro, Jeremy (Joy) Diggs of Weddington, Jason Diggs of Surfside Beach, SC, Monica (Mike) Hege of Kannapolis; great grandchildren, Zachery and Kaylie High, Trystan, Jeri and Jordyn Diggs.
