A Lodi truck driver and father of four children was crushed to death yesterday shortly before noon when the dump truck he was operating went out of control on a private road 26 miles east of Jackson. The victim of the mishap was John Flath Jr., 321 1/2 E. Elm street.
Flath was employed by Roy Monk, acting as a sub-contractor for the Claude C. Wood Company of Lodi.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Annie M. Flath and the following children: Paul, 8; Margaret, 7; Eddie, 6; and Billie 5.
The deceased was the brother of Jake and Christ Flath of Lodi; Fred Flath, Tillie Scharosch and Louise Rusher, all of Sacramento. His parents are Mr. and Mrs. John Flath Sr. of Lodi.
