Born November 25, 1892, in Texanna, Benson was a retired farmer-rancher.
Survivors include five daughters; Virginia Carlton of Whitefield, Wanda Holderidge of Hoyt, Evelyn Moseley of Houston, TX, Darlene Baker of Tulsa and Shirley Smith of Baton Rouge, LA; four sons, Lee of Tulsa, Rudolph of Brooken, Roland of Sallisaw and Ervin of Brooken; two sisters, Flora Madden of Corcorar, Oregon, Laura Greenof Quinton; a brother, Bill Benson of Littlerock, CA, 30 grandchildren and 39 great grandchildren.
George was preceeded by his wife Carrie.

My fondest memories of my grandfather are this ~ he's sitting under the big tree in front of the house in his "big smith" overalls with a Prince Albert tin in his pocket ~ yelling at all his grandkids to stop pestering the cows!
