Mr. Corbitt was born in Winnsboro, Texas, on June 17, 1910, a son of the late Henry Houston Corbitt and Rosa Della Bailey Corbitt. He was a member of the Belmont Baptist Church in Calhoun and was a retired carpenter, and he had resided in Calhoun for the past 11 years.
Suvivors included four sons and their wives, one daughter and her husband, Jim, three sisters, 12 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
Graveside and interment services were conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Chandler Cemetery with the Rev. Jeff Hawkins officiating. Thomas Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements for Mr. T. J. "Tom" Corbitt.
