Robert was the son of Peter Anton Doemer and Anna Elisabeth Doemer (Rueenaufer, Search the name "Springmann") Robert married Margaret Leckner sometime before 1880. Margaret entered the marriage with three children of her own, but Robert and Margaret never had any children together. The 1890 Census was lost, so it is unknown if they were still married at that time, but the 1900 Census shows that Robert and a woman named Sarah was married right around 1893. (Still Researching Sarah's maiden name). In 1900, Robert and Sarah are shown to be living on Arndt Street in Detroit, Michigan. The only other information that I have on Sarah is that she came from Canada sometime around 1875. The 1910 Census shows that Robert had moved to Cleveland for some reason, and that Sarah had been admitted as an inmate in Eloise. Eloise was an asylum located in Nankin Township, Wayne County, Michigan about 20 miles from Detroit. By the 1920 Census, Robert had moved back to Detroit, but Sarah was still at Eloise. Robert died in 1926 and his death certificate states that he's a widower. (Wife's name is listed as "Sarah ?". So Sarah passed away sometime between 1920, and 1926. She is probably buried at Eloise Cemetery. (Records in poor shape so locating her grave is probably impossible.) Robert Died of Branchio Pneumonia - Asthma. Robert and Sarah had no children together.
