Lenten Hoyt Clements of Fouke, Arkansas, passed away after lengthy battle with cancer at his home on Friday, March 21.

Born on September 16, 1937 in Fouke, Arkansas, Mr. Clements was the son of Marvin Howard and Ethel Elizabeth (McCreary).

Lenten worked as an operator for the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe (ATSF) until his retirement in 2003. He was also the president of the Brotherhood of Airline and Railroad Clerks (BRAC) from the late 1970's through the early 1990's. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a member of Boyd Union Community Church.

He is preceded in death by two brothers.

Lenten was married in September 29, 1975 to Betty Lou Smith.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Lou; sons, Andrew Lenten (Kim) and Matthew Bernard (Danel); daughter, Melinda; two sisters; one brother; six grandchildren.
