BABY CAMERONS STORY:::::::::::

On April 27th, 2013, just three days before his first birthday, Cameron, his mother's boyfriend, and his 3-year-old brother Connor were riding in a car while their mother, Holly, was at work. Cameron's crotch buckle was unfastened. They were involved in a car crash; upon impact both the chest clips broke. Investigators told Holly that Connor only survived because the seat in front of him pushed back onto him, preventing him from being ejected.

However, little Cameron was violent thrown from the car on impact. Connor suffered a broken arm and internal bruising. Cameron's mother's boyfriend suffered a broke. leg and some head trauma. Cameron was in a very bad shape: his ribs were broken and his lungs and brain were badly lacerated. He needed immediate surgery to remove his spleen, fix his lungs and also to insert some drainage tubes into his body.

Afterwards, baby Cameron had emergency brain surgery; the doctors removed part of Cameron's skull to relieve pressure from swelling. His brain was covered in lacerations and was severely bruised. Cameron was then put on life support. Two weeks later, 16 days after the accident, as Cameron's body was "starving to death" from brain damage, his doctors took him off life support. Only after the accident did his mother look at an earlier photo of Cameron in his car seat and realized that he was slouched forward and the chest straps were twisted. If Cameron had been rear facing and buckled in properly, he would still be here today.
