Alma Muse, 2130 Sardis Road, Nancy, died Monday, July 18, 1994, at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital, following a short illness. She was 85.

Born in the Norfleet community July 25, 1908, she was a daughter of the late Jones and Lou Emma Trimble Ard. She was a homemaker and member of Sardis United Methodist Church.

Survivors include three sons, Clifford Muse, Frazer, Carter Muse, Nancy, and Donald Muse, Somerset; five daughters, Ovelene Barker, Somerset, and Pauline Weddle, Freda Yanders, Regina Prather and Patty Ruckel, all of Nancy; 21 grandchildren, Ronnie, Gary and Larry Muse, Billy Barker, Susie Smith, Rick and Randy Barker, Roger Weddle, Donna Costanzo, Connie Meece, Doug Yanders, Lisa Inabnitt, Greg Yanders, Tim, Terry and Debbie Prather, Kimball and Darren Polston, Donita Muse, Douglas Ruckel, and Debra Smith; and 28 great-grandchildren, Heather, Christin, Monica, Danielle, J.L., Anna and Kimberly Muse, Josh Barker, Amy Roy, Suzanne and Allison Smith, Devin and Hannah Barker, Nicole and Jamie Costanzo, Chad, Chris and Michael Meece, LeeAnn, Chip and Angela Weddle, Lori and Renae Yanders, Tiffany and Derrick Polston, and Cody, Casey, and Courtney Inabnitt.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Elbert Clinton Muse, whom she married December 25, 1924; five brothers, James, Ollie, Leon, Earl and Columbus Ard; two sisters, Uma Pierce and Alpha Halcomb; a grandson, Eric Polston; and a great-grandchild, B.J. Johnson.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home with the Revs. Roger Weddle, Kenneth Pierce and Steve Housewright officiating.

Burial will be in Whitis Cemetery.

Friends may call after 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
