On October 14, 1922, Ruth was born in Morrow County, the daughter of the late Hoy Clinton and Clara Ettie (Heimlich) Peoples. She graduated from Mount Gilead High School.
Ruth married Alfred "Al" King Mosher on August 16, 1974 at Peace Reformed Church of Christ in Galion. They have shared a very special bond for the last 40 years. They enjoyed traveling and visited all 50 states over the years. They also shared their faith as members of the Ontario United Methodist Church.
Ruth also spent a lot of time crafting. She made wooden angels and enjoyed sewing, knitting, and crocheting. She enjoyed life and spending time with family and friends. She was a sweet, loving woman who will be missed by everyone she knew.
Ruth is survived by her husband Al, of Ontario; six children: Raymond (Becky) Scott of Delaware, Warren (Sharon) Scott of Mount Gilead, Charles (Patty) Scott of Johnsville, Robert Scott of Morrow, Ohio; Diane Rogers of Warren, Ohio, Pat (Terry) Smith of Ontario; a step-daughter, Jennifer (Rudy) Francis of Columbus; a step- daughter-in-law, Carol Mosher of Cardington; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great- grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren; 4 great-step-grandchildren; and a sister, Doris Hill of Columbus.
In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her step-son, Michael Mosher Sr.
A graveside service honoring Ruth's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 29, 2014, at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Chesterville with Pastor Peg Welch officiating.
