Civil War Union Army Officer. He served during the Civil War in the 9th New Yokr Volunteer Infantry, which was known as the "Hawkin's Zouaves", after their commander, Colonel Rush C. Hawkins. Richard Henry Morris rose from a Sergeant in Company C to Captain and commander of Company H.
