Mrs. Blythe was born March 17, 1915 in Sevier County, Tenn., the daughter of Noah Elmer and Lily Rosetta Whaley. She was also preceded in death by her husband, J.B. Blythe Sr.; a daughter, Marjorie Ann Blythe; a grandson, Tommy Blythe; a great-grandson, Jesse Blythe; a brother, Earl Whaley; and two sisters, Patsy Blanche Howard and Mabel Whaley.
Mrs. Blythe was a member of Faith Promise Church.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Ben and Sue Blythe, Dandridge; two daughters and a son-in-law, Earlene Brewer, Oak Ridge, and Jean and James L. BLYTHE -- Funeral services for Edna Whaley Blythe, 86, of Oak Ridge, who died Monday, April 16, 2001, will be conducted at 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 17, at Weatherford Mortuary, Oak Ridge, with the Rev. Jay Blythe officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Weatherford Mortuary. Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 18, at Happy Valley Memorial Park in Elizabethton. The family asks that memorials be made to the Methodist Medical Center Foundation, P.O.
