Gary F. Page, 59, of Grand Island, died Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2000, at his home.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. The Rev. Donald Larmore will officiate. Burial will be in Grand Island City Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the church. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Apfel-Butler-Geddes Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.

Memorials are suggested to the family's choice.

Mr. Page was born May 13, 1940, to Fred and Matilda [Dietring] Page at Grand Island. He grew up in Grand Island and attended St. Mary's Catholic School and
graduated from Grand Island Senior High in 1958. He also attended Kearney State College.

He married Christi Osborn on Sept. 2, 1961, in Grand Island.

He married Carol Fenton on May 13, 1972, in Grand Island. The couple lived in Grand Island where he was employed at the Sugar Beet factory and then the Cornhusker Army Ammunition Plant. He later worked at Nebraska White Trucks, York Mfg and Chief Industries before retiring.

He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Platt Duetsche Society, Riverside Golf Club and United Veterans Club. He enjoyed playing cards, golf and doing yard work. He also enjoyed gambling.

Survivors include his wife; one son, Fred of Las Vegas, Nev.; three daughters, Heather [Mrs. Brandon] Shada of Omaha, Heidi Page of Grand Island and Sherry [Mrs. Steve] Wirtz of Windsor, Colo.; two grandchildren; and one brother, Bruce of Las Vegas, Nev.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
