HARRISON -- Oliver B., born October 5, 1914 in Skiatook, OK and passed away in Tulsa, OK on June 14, 2002. At the age of 6 years he moved with his parents, Ollie and Emma, to Burbank where he lived until age 22. During those years he attended and graduated from Burbank High School, where he was Captain of the football team and attended East Central Oklahoma State College in Ada on a football scholarship. He married Grace Laughrey in 1937 and moved to Guthrie where he was employed by the State of Oklahoma Highway Department. During World War II he moved to San Antonio, TX where he worked with the Civil Service at Kelley Field Army Air Force Base. He was transferred to Oklahoma City where he was instrumental in helping establish Tinker Army Air Field. He relocated to the Southeast Tulsa area in the Fall of 1943, where he resided until his death. He purchased and operated the Sunset Dairy until 1951, when he purchased the Brown Farms Dairy and built and operated the processing plant on South Lewis until selling to Glencliff Dairies in 1965. He was also actively engaged in farming and oil production. In 1966 he planned and built Southern Villa Mobile Home Park, one of the first mobile home parks in the Tulsa area. He was a member of the Tulsa Chamber of Commerce, the Independent Oil Producers Association, Jenks Public Schools Board of Education and the United Methodist Church of Jenks. Oliver was a devoted husband and grandfather and was loved by all who knew him. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved all sports.
