Donnie Russell, age 74, of Chipley, FL, passed away Mon night, Mar 24, 2014, at Bay Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. Donnie was born Mar 26, 1939, in Washington Co., FL to the late Leon and Verna (Palmer) Russell. He was a lifelong resident of the Washington County area, and a member of the First Baptist Church of Chipley.
Donnie is survived by his wife, Jimmie Lou Russell of Chipley, FL; 4 daughters, Lynn Paine and husband Thomas of Baton Rouge, LA, Connie Redmon and husband Jeff, of Chipley, FL, Carla Elliot and husband Rob, of Chattahoochee, FL and Leah Pettis and husband Randy, of Chipley, FL; 8 grandchildren, Robert and Lee Paine, Jessica (Redmon) Zimmer and Mindy Redmon, Rhyne and Jae Elliot, Cortney (Pettis) Corbin and Meghan Pettis; 5 great-grandchildren; 1 half-brother, J. D. Cockrell of Mississippi; and a very special cousin, Evelyn Tiller of Chipley, FL.
