Mr. Thweatt was born at Thomastown, MS in Attala County in 1936. He worked for B.C. Rogers in the poultry industry for approximately 35 years. Everyone enjoyed "Pon" as he was known by his close friends and family. He loved his family very much and spending time with them brought great joy to his life. He will be missed by all who loved and knew him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Marvin Thweatt and Edna Chunn Thweatt; daughter, Judy Goss and sister, Peggy Thweatt.
He is survived by his son, Bobby Thweatt and wife, Roma of Morton; daughters, Angie McCrory and husband, Tommy of Morton, and Jennifer Renfroe and husband, Brian of Morton; sister Edna Permenter of Aliceville, Al; brothers Bill Thweatt and wife, Mary Jo of Pearl, MS and Jerry Thweatt of Polkville, MS; 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends .
Serving and honoring Mr. Thweatt as pallbearers were Larry Meeks, Dwight Loper, Guy Hodges, Chris McCrory, Tommy McCrory, Pete Martin and honorary Pallbearers Ike Cannon and Michael McLemore.
