Thomas W. Harding, 76, of 3672 E. 1300 N., Syracuse, IN, died Monday, Nov. 14, 2005, at Lutheran Hospital of Ft. Wayne, IN. He was born on Sept. 30, 1929, in Rockford, IL, son of Thomas and Ethel (Willis) Harding. He married Shirley Summers on May 29, 1952; she survives. They moved from Wisconsin to Syracuse 8 years ago. Thomas retired from Dana Corporation after 18 years. He was a member of the Methodist Church of Edgerton, WI, was a World War II U.S. Army veteran, and was a member of Syracuse American Legion Post #223, Syracuse VFW Post #1342, and Eagles in Syracuse. Surviving are his wife, Shirley of Syracuse; a daughter, Janet (Richard) Harding-Jackson of Janesville, WI; 2 sons, Thomas (Dori Stephens) Harding of Brodhead, WI, and David (Gina) Harding of Terre Haute, IN; 6 grandchildren; 2 sisters, Dorothy Calgaro of South Beloit, IL, and Lorraine Kempen of West Allis, WI; and a brother, Lawrence Harding of Juda, WI. He was preceded in death by his parents.
