Duane "Skip" Bridgewater, of Lockeford, passed away unexpectedly on January 14, 2009, at the age of 59.
Mr. Bridgewater was born in Modesto, California on March 31, 1949.
He recently retired from San Joaquin County Mosquito and Vector Control District as the Supervisor in the Lodi area, after 39 years of employment. In his youth he worked as a ranch butcher.
He enjoyed animals, particularly cattle and horses. He was an outdoorsman who loved to hunt, fish, travel and fly small aircraft. He was a member of the NRA. Skip enjoyed remodeling as well as various handyman projects at home. He was a wonderful man who was always reliable, willing to help others.
He is survived by his wife of twenty-five years, Vicki Burnett-Bridgewater of Lockeford; sonDuane "Skip" Bridgewater, of Lockeford, passed away unexpectedly on January 14, 2009, at the age of 59. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, January 21st at 11:00 a.m. at Lodi Memorial Cemetery.
