Wanda Hodges
Grapevine: Wanda Hodges, 84, a lifelong resident of the Grapevine and Southlake area, passed away Saturday, April 28th 2012.
Service: Wednesday 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Grapevine. Visitation: The family will hold visitation 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at J. E. Foust Funeral Home, Grapevine. Memorials: The family requests that memorials be made in Wanda's name to a charity of their choice in lieu of flowers.
Wanda was born February 16, 1928, to William and Mattie Ragsdale, in what would become known as Southlake. A proud homemaker and mother, Wanda was also active in her community and church. For over 25 years, she volunteered at Baylor Medical Center and was an active member of First Baptist Church. She left her mark on the people she knew with her kindness, her caring and her honesty.
Wanda was preceded in death by her husband, William A. "Billy" Hodges, and her daughter, Tinda Green.
Survivors: Son, Brian Hodges; daughter-in-law, Stephanie; son-in-law, John M. Green; grandchildren, Sheena and husband, Tim, Sarah and Emily; great-grandchildren, Vanessa, Karley and Adyan; nieces and nephews, Carolyn and Lany Tate, Peggy and Billy Cate, Sue and Winston Beam, Tony and Elizabeth Hodges, Twila Hodges and countless other relatives and loved ones.
