Gilbert Evans, 89, of Richmond, passed away December 30, 2003. Survivors include his wife, Kay; two sons; his daughter, and her husband; five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Mr. Evans was a devoted husband and father who loved life and was loved by all. He was a member of Sandston Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 South Laburnum Ave. Funeral services will be held 12 noon Friday at Sandston Baptist Church.
