ROWAN - Agnes Marie, aged 86, of Delray Beach, FL, originally of Cedarhurst, NY, went home to The Lord very peacefully on March 23, 2014.

Predeceased by John, her husband and best friend of 43 years; her parents, Anne (Meleady) and Michael Barry, both of Ireland and her sisters, Helen Engle, Peggy McGuire and Nancy McGuire.

Loving mother of NCPD Det. Christopher (Barbara), Rev. Monsignor Mark, Col USAF, and Mike. Proud grandmother of four and a great-grandmother. Also survived by her sister Anne (Bob) Newbert and ten wonderful nieces and nephews.

Wake at Flinch & Bruns Funeral Home, Lynbrook, NY. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joachim's Church, Cedarhurst, NY. Burial with her In-laws, Annie (Kelly) and Peter and her husband, John in the Rowan family plot in St. Mary's Star of the Sea Cemetery, Lawrence, NY.

In lieu of flowers, Masses and donations to the Chapel Stained Glass Window Project, Archdiocese of the Military Services USA, Washington, DC, (milarch.org) in Agnes' name would be very much appreciated,
