Mrs. Cunningham passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Edgar Jackson, in Sioux City on January 10, 1975.
Agnes Cunningham was born at Ridgeport, Iowa September 20, 1894, to Mr. and Mrs. Albert Condon. She moved to Ida Grove at the age of three, where she lived until December 14, 1915, when she was married to William Ashley Cunningham of Early.
She lived in Sac and Ida counties for the next thirty-three years, many of those years residing in Lake View.
Mr. Cunningham passed away in December, 1937, and she continued to make her home in Lake View until 1948 when she moved to Stratford, Iowa.
At the age of sixty-five and for the following six years, she assumed the responsibility of serving as a housemother at the Boys' and Girls' Home in Sioux City. This was a position which gave her much pleasure and satisfaction. In 1966 she returned to her home in Stratford.
Mrs. Cunningham is survived by a son, Gerald Ashley Cunningham of Marshalltown; a daughter, Mrs. Ed (Jennie) Jackson of Sioux City; a brother, Harold Condon of Lake City; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
