Nellie was born in Kilsyth, Scotland to Robert Marshall McIntyre (1878-1965) and Christina Provan (1880-1961). Siblings: Catherine Gillies Marshall McIntyre Amos (1903-1993) John Marshall McIntyre (1905-1976) Robert William Marshall McIntyre (1911-1950) David Provan Marshall McIntyre (1913-1940).

She married Jack Allmon on February 11, 1929 in Wellsburg, West Virginia. Their children: Christina Jane Allmon McConnaughy (1929-2013) and Kathryn Allmon Williams (1932-2017).

Nellie Allmon, 81, of 1st Street, Bergholz, died April 16 at Carroll Health Care Center in Carrollton after a long illness. Born December 21, 1909 in Kilsyth, Scotland. she was the daughter of the late Robert and Christina (Provan) McIntyre. She and her late husband, Jack, were co-owners and operators of the former Sugar Bowl Restaurant until 1947 and the former Allmon General Store from 1948-1972. She was a member of the Bergholz Church of Christ, where she was organist for 40 years, and belonged to the ladies aid of the church. She was also a former member of the Pythian Sisters and Women's clubs of Bergholz. In addition to her husband, who died September 22, 1976, she was preceded in death by three brothers.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Donald (Kathryn) Williams and Mrs. Donald (Janie) McConnaughy, both of Bergholz; a sister, Katherine Amos of Canton; nine grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. Services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in the Bergholz Church of Christ with Rev. Terry Baker officiating. Burial will be in Bergholz Cemetery.
