Elizabeth M. "Betty" (Moseley) Wells, 88, of Glastonbury, beloved wife of Carlton Wells, died Tuesday, (July 31, 2001) in Hartford Hospital. Born May 25, 1913 in Sharon, ME, daughter of the late Rev. John and Sarah (Foss) Moseley, she had lived in Glastonbury for the past 23 years. Betty cared for her family and for her blind mother while Carlton was in the Air Force in Scotland, England, and France during World War II and also had the responsibility of caring for the family again during her husband's two tours of duty during the Korean Conflict.

Mrs. Moseley was a member of the Buckingham Congregational Church, Glastonbury. After her husband's retirement from the service, they lived in Falmouth, MA, where Betty was active in the Falmouth Officer Wives Club and the Garden Club.
Funeral service will be held Friday, Aug. 3, 11 a.m. in the Buckingham Congregational Church, Cricket Lane, Glastonbury with the Rev. James Chapman officiating. Private burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, West Hartford. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Buckingham Congregational Church, 16 Cricket Lane, Glastonbury, CT, 06033. The Mulryan Funeral Home, Glastonbury has care of arrangements.
