Phillip A. Langer, age 46, of rural Edgerton died unexpectedly on Thursday, Nov. 24, 2005, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born in Janesville, WI on Feb. 4, 1959, son of Harry and Elizabeth "Betty" (Hanlon) Langer. Phillip attended school in Edgerton, graduating from Edgerton High School in 1977. After graduation he joined the United State Marines, and was stationed in Okinowa. He was honorably discharged in 1981. On Oct. 4, 1980 in Edgerton, he married Christi Sperry. Phillip previously worked for Dorsey Trailer, and Valley Irrigation. He was currently employed as an operating engineer for Henshu Construction. Phillip is a member of St. Ann Catholic Church in Stoughton, Loyal Order of Moose #197 in Janesville and Operating Engineers Local #139. Phillip was a very strong, and caring person who was very proud of his two sons. He also enjoyed farming, hunting, the outdoors and giving a helping hand at a moments notice. He is survived by his two sons: Ben and Curtis Langer, both of Edgerton and their mother, Christi of Evansville; his parents: Harry and Betty Langer of Edgerton; 9 siblings: Dennis Langer of Oskaloosa, IA, Carol (Gaylen) Reilly of Janesville, Dave (Patti) Langer of Edgerton, Teresa Langer of Edgerton, Mary (Mark) Houfe of Edgerton, Monica Clark of Janesville, Delores Langer of Edgerton, Dorothy Langer of Phoenix, AZ, and Francis (Sara) Langer of DeForest, WI; mother-and father-in-law: Stanley and Joan Sperry of Evansville; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his grandparents.
