Berenice was the most wonderful cat. She had the softest fur (like a bunny) and when she slept on me, sometimes she'd curl up in a ball under my chin. Other times she'd sleep in my hair and make stars.
She adopted me. I only got to keep her for 5 short years, but she'd been a TNR, so the fact that she trusted and loved me back was huge.
It took a year before I could really pet her, another year before she let me hold her for any length of time.
I miss her all the time.
