Mrs. Eliza Ann Glover Mounteer, 70, Union, widow of Hiram Mounteer, died Saturday at noon at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Cora S. Belich, of Midvale.
Mrs. Mounteer had been ill of influenza and pneumonia since the death of her husband two weeks ago. She had been a resident of Union 53 years.
Born March 7, 1866, in Victoria, Somersetshire, Wales, a daughter of James and Mary Roswell Glover, she came to Utah when six weeks old. She had been active in Relief Society work in the Union Ward.
Surviving as 11 sons and daughters, Kenneth G. Mounteer, Mrs. Morintha Johnson and Mrs. Belich of Midvale, John J. and Claude A. Mounteer and Mrs. Elaue Fisher of Salt Lake City, Mrs. Mary a. Walker of Union, Mrs. Deloya Miller of Murray, Mrs. Minnie Jewell of Pocatello, Idaho, Mrs. Ruth Steer of Star, Idaho and Roy H. Mounteer of Roberts, Idaho; 41 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the Union Ward chapel. Interment will be in Murray City Cemetery.
Friends may call at the C. I. Goff & Sons Mortuary in Midvale Sunday afternoon and Monday and at the family home in Union. Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
