TUSCALOOSA | Gladys Dianne Johnson, age 66 of Tuscaloosa, Ala., passed away on March 28, 2014 at DCH of Tuscaloosa. Services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday April 1, 2014 at Tuscaloosa Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow services in Tuscaloosa Memorial Park. Tuscaloosa Memorial Chapel Funeral Home will be directing. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Monday March 31, 2014 at the funeral home. Body will lie in state 30 minutes prior to service.
Dianne was preceded in death by her grandparents, James Walter and Elma Lou Kirkley; her mother, Jewel Miles, her brother Carlos Tisdale; grandson, Ethan Hunter; two nephews, and seven aunts and uncles.
She is survived by Michael Johnson; her four children, Mickey (Robin) Hunter, Teresa (David) Aycock, Barry (Tami) Hunter, and Gerald (Lori) Ramsey; and her grandchildren, Brannon Hunter, Amy Aycock, Kristi Aycock, Shawn Hunter, Holly Hunter, Taylor Darden, Daniel Hunter, Zach Ramsey and Chase Ramsey; special grandchildren, Brianna Combs, Anna Katherine Combs, Nathaniel Combs, and Haley Raines; two sisters, Carolyn (Mark) Sherman and Clara (Gene) Haines; and many nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Brannon Hunter, Shawn Hunter, Joseph Haines, Chris Haines, Randy Haines, Ben Godwin, Christian Harris, and Mark Sherman.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Pastor Charles Lenn and Pastor Tim Pippins for the loving support, as well as all the physicians, nurses, and staff who participated in her care.
